Mobile was the dominant force at Take-Two once more as the owner of Zynga, Rockstar and 2K published its Q4 and full-year financials today.

The company said that Zynga recorded its best ever quarter of net bookings. Top mobile performers for the fiscal year were Toon Blast, Match Factory, Empires & Puzzles, Color Block Jam, Words With Friends and Toy Blast.

In Q4, mobile net bookings were $829.1m, up 14% year-on-year, representing 52% of the platform split, with console at 38% and PC and other on 10%. For the full fiscal year 2026, mobile net bookings were $3.3bn, up 15% year-on-year – 49% of the platform split.

Overall, Take-Two’s Q4 net bookings were $1.58bn, above guidance of $1.51-1.56bn. Full year net bookings were $6.72bn, above guidance of $6.65-6.7bn. FY27 guidance was notably up due to high expectations around GTA VI, with the company expecting net bookings of $8-8.2bn.

Take-Two broke out some other mobile-specific highlights, including:

– Toon Blast growth of over 25% year-over-year
– Empires and Puzzles grew 5% YoY
– Color Block Jam grew 15% YoY
– 16 year-old game Top Eleven had its “strongest quarter ever”
– WWE SuperCard hit 39m lifetime downloads
– NBA 2K26 Arcade Edition is a ‘top five’ Apple Arcade game
– NBA 2K All-Star in China grew to 10m registered users

The company also said it plans to release two mobile titles in the next financial year. NaturalMotion’s CSR 3 and Nordeus’ Top Goal were namechecked elsewhere in the financials but were not given firm release dates. Both titles have been in soft launch for some time.

There was also a positive namecheck for Take-Two’s direct-to-consumer business, which the company said was driving margin growth, “reducing payment friction” and improving “conversion and customer loyalty”.

Forecasts for Take-Two’s mobile business were down a little, though, which Zelnick explained away in the earnings call as a combination of mobile hits being very difficult to predict and the maturation of some of the newer games in its portfolio, likely Color Block Jam and Match Factory.

“On the mobile side, particularly, we never anticipate huge numbers, because it’s just impossible to do so,” said Zelnick. “Hit ratios are just too low.”

When asked about AI, Zelnick confirmed the company is already using generative AI to create UA ad creatives: “I was visiting one of our studios, and they showed me some advertisements…these were live-action ads, and they were funny and cute…AI software was used, the entire cost of making the spot was zero, and previously we hired third-party companies to actually create those with human beings, and those spots could cost twenty-five, fifty or a hundred thousand dollars…”

Zelnick continued: “The entire marketing team at this particular studio is two people, they’re doing a great job, but what AI has allowed them to do is be more efficient, make great stuff, and do it cheaper, and this is all a benefit to our company.”

There was also a namecheck for the vibrant mobile scene in Turkiye and the local tax breaks and subsidies available in that market.

When asked if Take-Two was in the market for another acquisition, Zelnick said it was a possibility, but the company is very selective over M&A in general. “Assuming our balance sheet continues to improve, I think you could imagine more inorganic growth in the future as well,” he said.

Zelnick also dodged several questions about the price point of GTA VI, which some have speculated could be over $100 when it is released on November 19.
