How It Works

Entry Fees

Some tournaments are free to join; others charge an entry fee shown on the tournament page before you register. If a tournament has a fee, your registration is marked pending until payment is confirmed — you won't hold a slot until then. Every completed tournament's prize pool, winner, and payout status is public on the Prize Payouts page.

Check-In

Most tournaments open a check-in window shortly before the scheduled start time (by default, from one hour before start until ten minutes after — an organizer can widen or narrow this per tournament). You must check in during that window to confirm you're present and ready to play. If check-in closes and you haven't checked in, your slot may be forfeited to make room for the bracket to proceed on time.

No-Show Policy

If your match starts and you don't show up within a reasonable grace period, the organizer or caster can record a no-show. A no-show is typically treated as a loss for that match. If you're going to be late, message your opponent or the tournament's Discord as early as you can — organizers have discretion to make reasonable allowances for genuine issues.

Disputes

If something went wrong in your match — a scoring error, a rules violation, a technical issue — you can file a dispute from the match page. Only players on either team in that match (or the tournament's organizer/an admin) can open one. Include as much detail and evidence (screenshots, replay codes) as you can; disputes are reviewed by the organizer or an admin, and the outcome is recorded on the match.

Refunds

Refund eligibility is set by each tournament's organizer and is usually covered in that tournament's own rules — check there first. In general, a tournament that's cancelled before it starts is the clearest case for a refund; a withdrawal after registration closes is less likely to qualify. If you believe you're owed a refund and the tournament's own rules don't cover your situation, contact the organizer or reach out to support.

Entry Fees

You set the entry fee (or run a free event) when you create a tournament. If you charge a fee, a registration only counts as paid once the payment gateway confirms it — TournifyPK won't let a team's slot go "approved" on an unpaid registration. You're responsible for setting an honest, achievable prize pool relative to the fees and slots you expect to fill.

Check-In Rules

Every tournament has a check-in window (defaults to one hour before your start time through ten minutes after; you can override both ends per tournament). Use it to confirm real turnout before you generate the bracket — a team that never checks in can be treated as a no-show without you having to manually chase them down.

No-Show Policy

You (or your caster/admin) can mark a team a no-show once their match has started and a reasonable grace period has passed. Be consistent and transparent about what "reasonable" means for your event — publish it in your own tournament rules so players know what to expect before they enter.

Dispute Process

Players on either team in a match (plus you and any admin) can file a dispute directly on that match. Review the evidence provided and record a resolution — this becomes part of the match's permanent record. Handling disputes promptly and fairly is one of the biggest drivers of whether players trust your next event enough to enter it.

Payout Transparency

Once your tournament is complete, add a payout record (prize pool, winner, payout date, status) from Admin → Prize Payouts. This is what feeds the public Prize Payouts page — the single biggest piece of evidence a new player has that entering a real-money tournament here actually pays out. Keeping it current, even for small events, builds the track record that gets you bigger ones.

Refund Policy

There's no platform-wide refund policy — you set one for your own tournament and should state it clearly in your rules before registration opens (for example: full refund if the event is cancelled, no refund after check-in closes). Being upfront about this before you take anyone's money is part of running a credible event.
