For some of Blizzard's developers, the turnout was unlike anything they'd seen over years of running the MMO; given the product's quality, I don't think it's hard to see why. In fact, I think World of Warcraft: Forever might even be so impactful that it brings a harder, more immersive open world to retail's next expansion, The Last Titan—if game director Ion Hazzikostas is to be believed, that is.
