Will Zach Cregger's Resident Evil Break the Movie Curse?

With the upcoming Resident Evil movie by Zach Cregger, fans have received it with mixed reactions, in big part due to the history of sub-par film adaptations of the 30 year long franchise. Though for a variety of reasons, including creating an original story that captures the essence of the games within the Resident Evil universe, his passion and understanding of the series, as well as his directorial expertise in the horror genre, Zach Cregger's adaptation may be the one to finally break the long-running streak of weak Resident Evil movies.
