Unlock your inner Superman with a new demo from Undefeated: Genesis

How cool would it be to wake up on an alien world with super powers? That's basically what happened to Superman himself. Now it's Albert Haltree's turn to fly around and save the day in Undefeated: Genesis, an action RPG with a new demo out now.

Al woke up one day on the alien world of Voltissia, and, for some unknown reason, he awoke with super powers. In the new trailer debuted at the PC Gaming Show Tokyo Direct, we see Al's powers in full force. He can fly, shoot beams from his eyes, fire magical orbs from his hands, and summon a barrier that reminds me of the AT fields in Neon Genesis Evangelion. All that while in the air, too.

He seems just as deadly on the ground, utilising quick combos to dish out heavy melee damage to four-armed cyclops enemies. We also see some more animalistic opponents; one seems to be a big crab and another a gorilla or troll of some sort—Al is on an alien world, so anything is possible.

All we know of Voltissia right now is that the main civilisation on it was destroyed by a mysterious explosion 500 years ago and these mutated creatures appeared right after. Could they be the remnants of that society? I don't know and I don't care, I can just use laser eyes on them all.

As you engage the beasties, you'll unlock new superhero abilities. These will affect the way you fly, explore, and fight. So, you're encouraged to zip around looking for combat encounters.
