The soft launch games you need to know about from Supercell, Playrix, Century, Zynga and more

Bit Odd
Field Day

This is the debut game from Bit Odd, a Finnish studio formed by several senior members of the Clash of Clans and Clash Royale teams at Supercell. It’s a mix of MOBA and extraction shooter and is currently available in early access in Canada, Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines, with more regions to follow soon.

Blizzard
Overwatch Rush

This is a top-down, mobile exclusive hero shooter set in the Overwatch universe that’s in early development. Blizzard says it’ll be announcing testing in selected countries soon, but Appmagic says the iOS edition of the game has already registered over 10k downloads in the Philippines.

Century Games
Just Desserts

Appmagic says this new merge narrative game from the Whiteout Survival maker has soft launched on Android in Australia, Canada, the Philippines and the UK.

Family Farm Merge

Family Farm Merge is exactly what it says on the tin, blending merge gameplay with the warmth and charm of a rustic farming life, bringing colour and life back to an entire valley. It seems to be in early testing and is picking up a small number of downloads in the UK, France, Canada and Germany.

Lordrush

Lordrush is a medieval 4x strategy game that combines fortress building, tower defense, and large-scale warfare. Appmagic suggests that Whiteout Survival maker Century is preparing to launch a test on Google Play.

Plants vs. Zombies 3: Evolved

PopCap has launched PvZ 3 in early access in Ireland and the Philippines, with more regions to follow in the coming months as part of its global rollout. The latest entry in the tower defence series lets players merge plants to combat the zombie horde.

Fingersoft
Hill Climb Racing 3

The latest entry in the physics-driven racing series introduces real-time multiplayer for the first time. It has soft launched on Google Play in the UK, Norway, Sweden, and Finland.

Garena
Garena Free City

The Free Fire maker appears to be gearing up to launch a GTA-like game. It first soft launched on Android in Argentina only, according to Appmagic, but it is now registering downloads in Philippines, Algeria, Egypt and other smaller markets.

Hoyoverse
Petit Planet

Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail maker Mihoyo has opened pre-registration for this cosy life sim, after several rounds of beta tests. There’s no firm release date as yet.

King
Minecraft Blast

King and Mojang soft launched a new puzzler, Minecraft Blast, in Malaysia and Canada on iOS only, but it now appears to have been removed. An FAQ posted on Minecraft.net about the game says it is “extremely early days“ for the project.

Level Infinite/Tencent
Monster Hunter Outlanders (Capcom/Tencent)

Beta testing is ongoing for this Capcom-Tencent collab, with a full worldwide release expected at some point this year.

Pool City – 8 Ball

Appmagic says this new 8 Ball Pool rival is now in soft launch on Google Play in Australia, Canada, China, Indonesia, Mexico and the Philippines. The iOS version is available in Indonesia and the Philippines too.

Limit Break
Puzzle Panic

This is the debut mobile game from former Machine Zone boss Gabe Leydon’s latest company, Limit Break. A limited test of this 3D arcade puzzle game is now available on iOS in Singapore, New Zealand and Australia.

Metacore
Power Tap

After pulling multiple merge games from soft launch in the last few months – and then being sold to Supercell – Metacore has quietly put out another merge game. This one has a fantasy theme, and seems set to launch in Australia and Canada on Google Play only.

Miniclip
Pure Crime: Gangster Shooting

Miniclip’s Derby studio appears to be taking on GTA with this new open world crime game. It popped up on Appmagic in Philippines as a Google Play-only placeholder.

Paint Brawl

This Splatoon-like arena shooter has been recently rebranded to include the cast of Sybo’s Subway Surfers games. It’s currently picking up downloads in the UK and Philippines.

Moon Active
Family Bay

This appears to be a follow-up to Family Island, the builder/farming game from Melsoft, which is owned by Moon Active. It appears to be set for soft launch in India, Kazakstan and Poland on Android.

Hole Stars: Puzzle Game

This is a take on Voodoo’s Hole.io which has soft launched on iOS in India, Philippines, USA, UK, Turkiye and more, according to Appmagic.

Jelly Busters

This action puzzler mixes pixel art and…skateboarding jelly cubes. It’s picking up downloads on iOS and Android in Germany, UK, US, Turkiye, India, Israel, Philippines and more.

Reality Bay

Reality Bay is a merge 2 game that puts players in the director’s chair on a film set, and it has soft launched on Google Play in India, Brazil, UK and several other markets, according to Appmagic.

Yarn It

Appmagic says this one’s only available in Israel on Google Play. It looks very similar to Jelly Busters, which is heavily inspired by Pixel Flow.

Playrix
Aqua Match

Playrix takes its match 3 formula underwater. Aqua Match is currently available in 12 markets on both iOS and Android.

Austin’s Odyssey

This was first launched under Playrix’s test account, Max Go, and is currently out on Google Play only in Australia, Canada, India and the United States, according to Appmagic. It’s another ‘scapes game, but more focused on the series’ comedy butler, Austin.

FamilyScapes

This is a ‘scapes game that leans into a family drama type narrative. It appears to be in soft launch on Android only in the US, Canada, Australia, Indonesia and India.

Match Around

Appmagic says this new combo of match 3 and merge 2 mechanics is generating downloads in India and Indonesia, and is also set up for soft launch in Australia, Canada and the US. It’s Google Play only for now.

Questbound

Here’s something a bit different from Playrix, a squad battler with a fantasy theme. Appmagic says it is currently live in Australia, Canada, India, Indonesia and the US on Android only.

Roomscapes

This one is Google Play only, and is picking up a small number of downloads in India, US, Indonesia, Canada, Australia and other smaller markets.

PlayStation Mobile
MLB: The Show

PlayStation’s long-running baseball series is in soft launch on iOS and Android and is registering downloads in Philippines, Colombia and Dominican Republic.

Ratchet & Clank: Ranger Rumble

This multiplayer platformer arena shooter is now playable in France, developer Oh BiBi has confirmed. Appmagic says it’s also live in Denmark, Finland, Indonesia, Norway, Sweden and the Philippines.

Sega/Rovio
Angry Birds Match World

As first spotted by pocketgamer.biz, Rovio is turning its hand to match 3 with its latest Angry Birds soft launch. It’s only available on iOS and is pickig up downloads in the Philippines, UK, Australia, Canada and Finland.

Angry Birds Rush

This one appears to be in early testing on iOS and Android in the US, according to Appmagic. It’s a ‘luck battle’ game being made in collaboration with French developer OhBiBi.

Bloom City Match

The Angry Birds maker has released this puzzle-and-decorate game in Canada, Denmark, Finland, Poland, Spain, Sweden, Czech Republic and the UK for both iOS and Android.

Supercell
Boat Game

This third person looter-shooter appears to be approaching soft launch on Google Play. It is poised for release in 29 markets, mainly in Europe, but also in the US, Canada and Puerto Rico, Appmagic says.

Hay Day Match (Playabit)

As we revealed back in March, Supercell’s debut Hay Day is getting (another) spin off called Hay Day Match. And it’s being developed by Playabit, a UK studio formed by several former Peak execs. Appmagic says it was registering downloads in India, Indonesia and the Philippines, but has since been pulled from the app stores.

Project Rise

Supercell rebooted Clash Heroes as Project Rise in June 2024, describing it as a “social action RPG roguelite”. It has been a few limited Betas since but there’s still no word on a global launch.

Take-Two/Zynga
Borderlands Mobile (NaturalMotion)

Gearbox’s looter shooter series briefly made a cameo on iOS in the US only recently. It has since been removed from sale, according to Appmagic, but is still believed to be in active development at UK studio NaturalMotion.

CSR 3 (NaturalMotion)

Zynga and NaturalMotion is testing the next CSR game in France, Malaysia, South Africa, Indonesia and Italy on iOS and Android.

Defend the Castle (Small Giant)

This card collecting tower defence game has soft launched in the Philippines on Google Play, according to Appmagic.

Farmveyor (Popcore)

This new Pixel-Flow-like puzzle game from Zynga studio Popcore has popped up as a placeholder App Store store page, Appmagic says.

FruitFall! (Gram)

This Suika Game-inspired puzzler is in soft launch on iOS and Android in the UK.

Marvellous Marble (Popcore)

Marvellous Marble is a new puzzle game from Take-Two-owned Popcore, where “colour-matching meets classic pixel art”. It’s picking up downloads on iOS in Turkiye, according to Appmagic.

Sort Factory (Rollic)

Rollic appears to be working on a follow-up to Match Factory, inspired by Pixel Flow. It has been in and out of soft launch since December 2025 but seems to have returned and is picking up a small number of downloads in Netherlands, Finland, Peru, Ireland and several other test markets.

Top Goal: Soccer Champion (Nordeus)

This new PvP online football title from the maker of Top Eleven is in soft launch in 12 markets, including Canada, Malaysia, Argentina, Mexico, Italy and Colombia on iOS and Android.

Ten Square Games
Medal Hunter

This PvP military shooter has soft launched in Mexico, Vietnam, the Philippines and Poland. It’s set to launch in Australia, Germany, the UK and the US in mid-May, and will be available globally by early June.
