The new game from Lorn's Lure's developer is also set in the creepy world, and this one's a horror flight sim

"Oh man, can't wait to fly this plane through the fog around these spooky towers. I sure hope I don't lose my mind like the guy who did this job before me." That's what I imagine the protagonist of The Hollowing thought right before he climbed into the cockpit and promptly started to lose it.

We just saw the world premiere trailer for The Hollowing at the PC Gaming Show Tokyo Direct. It's a first-person horror flight sim made by Rubeki, developer of Lorn's Lure, and this is even set in the same world.

The Hollowing has the same signature PSX aesthetic, which I'm a big fan of for horror games. It's also great for speed, because this new project has been revealed barely two years after the dev's previous game came out.

In The Hollowing, you've got to fly between towers in a huge megastructure, fixing them up as you go so that the settlements in the place can stay in touch with one another. It's just you, your plane, the fog, and a voice on the radio.

Throughout the trailer, they give snippets of what happened to the previous pilot. Apparently they'd hear strange interference on the radio, and "spore toxicity" gave them visions. Maybe that fog is even more ominous than it seems.

By the end of the teaser, it's obvious the same issues are affecting our new pilot, Phil. I guess they're not built differently after all. There's no release date for The Hollowing just yet, so if you want to stay up to date with the game, wishlist it on Steam.
