Many major mobile game makers are giving a percentage of their UK revenue to disability charity Special Effect today, Friday October 2.

Partners taking part in the One Special Day promotion include Supercell, Rovio, Sybo, Playdemic, Fingersoft, Supersolid, Hyper Luminal Games, New Star Games, Miniclip, Green Man Gaming and MAG Interactive.

A slice of player spend from games including Clash of Clans, Brawl Stars, Clash Royale, Angry Birds 2, Golf Clash, Subway Surfers, Dream League Soccer, 8 Ball Pool and more will be donated to Special Effect for today only. A full list of participating games is available via the One Special Day site.

Special Effect provides assessments and customised technology loans to help physically disabled people play games, and takes what it learns back to hardware and software developers to help make their products more accessible. Thousands of disabled people ask for the charity’s help every year.

“We’ve been proud to partner with Special Effect across our games for nearly a decade, and that relationship has grown far beyond One Special Day,” said Supercell’s Deborah Mensah-Bonsu. “From cycling in Helsinki and joining One Special Walk in London, to learning from their incredible work as we think more deeply about inclusive design, we’re continually inspired by their tenacity, generosity and tremendous heart, and by how they show the games industry can genuinely change lives for the better.”

Special Effect COO Tom Donegan added: “We’re truly grateful to our partners for their generous involvement in One Special Day 2026. As demand for our projects and services continues to rise, this valuable contribution will play a vital role in helping us share the joy of gaming with thousands of people with physical disabilities around the world.”

This is the 11th edition of One Special Day, which this year has also included a Steam sale, a Green Man Gaming bundle beginning in early October, and the second One Special Walk in London, with the charity aiming to raise more than £500,000 across the campaign. Prior One Special Day events have included contributions from EA and First Touch Games in 2025, and Metacore in 2024.

Special Effect recently launched Open Drive, its first iOS game, designed for players with a wide range of physical disabilities.
