Steam's Biggest Stardew Valley-Like RPG Was Just Delayed to 2027, and It Hurts

While there are quite a few games I've been looking forward to in 2026—including The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake and Grand Theft Auto 6—one of my most anticipated games this year was none other than Emberville, an RPG that has been described as a cross between Stardew Valley and Diablo. As a massive fan of both Stardew Valley and Diablo, as well as Emberville's stellar and recognizable voice cast, I have been anxiously awaiting its initial October 27, 2026 Steam Early Access release date. At the time of writing, that day is tomorrow, so imagine my sadness when I read today that Emberville has been delayed to January 2027. If you've also been waiting for the release of what looks like one of the most promising indie games in recent memory, then maybe we can just be sad together.
