The next PlayStation console has been surrounded by rumors for a while now, but unless there are major shifts in the market, it's going to be some time before the PS6 is ready to take over from the PS5, with Sony now answering some fairly basic questions regarding its strategy. Rumors suggest that the PS6 will release in 2027 and will cost $1000+, which is terrifying but makes sense given that the PS6 is being developed in a hardware market that looks very different from the one Sony faced when launching the PS5.
