I don't think there's any way to talk about The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake's potential Metacritic score without acknowledging the rather ridiculous standard it has to live up to. After all, the original N64 game has spent almost 28 years being regarded as one of the greatest video games ever made, and its Metacritic score reflects that. As someone who considers it to be one of my all-time favorite games, I would love nothing more than to see the Switch 2 remake receive that same level of praise.
