While Pokemon GO Fest: Global only takes place from July 11 at 10 am until July 12 at 7 pm, there's a LOT going on. Not only can all Pokemon GOplayers participate in Raid battles to earn energy to finally evolve their Mewtwo into Mega Mewtwo X or Mega Mewtwo Y, but they can also take on a free research called Genetic Mastery that lets them choose one of two paths for a guaranteed Mega Mewtwo encounter. However, the branching paths will lead to either a Mega Mewtwo X or a Mega Mewtwo Y.
