Forgive me for being a positive, happy human being among the quite obviously miserable rabble, but I finally saw Christopher Nolan's Odyssey in theaters and absolutely loved it. Homer's Odyssey has always been one of my favorite stories, and although I've seen plenty of adaptations of it in my lifetime, Nolan's, in my opinion, ranks up there with the best of them. Everything from the sheer scale and physicality of the filmmaking to the movie's star-studded ensemble had me enthralled from start to finish, and so much so that I left the theater saying I was ready to see it again. But as much as I loved watching The Odyssey, I couldn't stop thinking about how much I would love to play a modern video game adaptation of it as well. And, to me, the developer best suited for the job is none other than Santa Monica Studio—the team behind the acclaimed God of War franchise.
