Zack Cregger's film adaptation of Resident Evil has sparked renewed interest in the Capcom franchise, so much so that now fans are creating video games inspired by Cregger's flick. Resident Evil: The Movie The Game is a retro-inspired title that merges the world that Cregger created with the fixed camera style of older Resident Evil games dating back to 1996. While still in development, the fan-made title, created by developer Julian Zamora, already looks promising. From what I've seen so far via videos posted to Zamora's Instagram, the game seems to take place in the snowy setting where the film's main protagonist Bryan, portrayed by actor Austin Abrams, finds himself in post-car crash.
