New PS5 Makes Regional Exclusives Harder to Defend

Sony's PlayStation consoles have become more than just machines for playing games, with their designs and hardware options giving fans another way to personalize their gaming setups. The newly announced Midnight Black PS5Digital Edition configuration offers players a sleeker, darker finish, which will include a matching Midnight Black disc drive. That confused me at first, considering Sony's decision to end disc production for the newly released PlayStation in 2028. However, they have confirmed that existing physical games will remain playable, meaning players with a compatible disc drive can continue using their collections even after the change takes effect.
