New Dragon Ball Apparel Pays Homage to Original Series

The popular Japanese clothing chain Shimamura has revealed a new line of Dragon Ball-inspired goods, set to go on sale later this month for extremely affordable prices. The popularity of Akira Toriyama's magnum opus hasn't waned since chapter one of Dragon Ball was first published in Weekly Shonen Jump in 1984, with the adventure series having become a global phenomenon. Forty years after Son Goku appeared on the scene, the character has become somewhat of a mascot for Japanese animation as a whole, with countless crossovers and merch drops taking place each year.
