As Rockstar gears up to take the gaming industry by storm in a few months with Grand Theft Auto 6, it’s safe to assume there has never been an open-world title like this in terms of scope and ambition, and most likely, there won’t be for years, if not decades, after its launch. Given how difficult and expensive it is to make a modern-day open-world game on this scale nowadays, GTA-like titles have become really scarce, unable to compete with Rockstar’s iconic series.
