Scopely’s blockbuster mobile game Monopoly Go is teaming up with Netflix hit KPop Demon Hunters and the Ghostbusters franchise for its next “Monster Mash” season.

Running from September 23 to November 25, the season brings Huntr/x, the Saja Boys and the Ghostbusters crew into the game through new mini-games and board experiences, including in-game use of Huntr/x’s songs Golden and How It’s Done.

KPop Demon Hunters fans will find a themed shopping boutique, a street race through Seoul that leads into the Underworld, and a Huntr/x concert experience, with the Ghostbusters crossover adding a rooftop race around 550 Central Park West and a Firehouse-set challenge built around the franchise’s Proton Blaster.

The season also introduces two new head-to-head features for players to take on friends directly – in Fill Up Your Luck-O-Lantern collected candy can be shared with another player, and Trick-or-Treat is Knocking is a dice duel where the higher roll wins goodies.

Elsewhere, a new Mystery Mansion Sticker Album adds 25 sets tied to the season, including two dedicated entirely to KPop Demon Hunters and Ghostbusters respectively.

The crossover is the latest high profile brand collaboration to be executed in Monopoly Go, following on from a Star Wars crossover event in 2025 and The Simpsons earlier this year.

The new KPop Demon Hunters and Ghostbusters season follows on from the Looney Tunes crossover currently live in Scopely’s hit mobile game.

Monopoly Go has passed 300m downloads since launch, said Scopely in today’s announcement. Sensor Tower said in January this year that Monopoly Go was the fastest game to reach $6bn in IAP revenue. It easily beat the likes of Monster Strike, Honor of Kings, Royal Match, Genshin Impact and Clash of Clans to the $6bn mark about three and a half years after its launch in April 2023.
