Seventeen weapons have balance changes for Modern Warfare 4 and Warzone Season 1, and the Apoc-338 is the only straight nerf, Dexerto reported. Fourteen guns received buffs only.

The Hyeon Burst and VEL 46 got a mix of both.

Season 1 arrives November 6. The official Call of Duty blog lists further weapon balance adjustments among the changes alongside the full integration of Warzone with Modern Warfare 4.

That integration, covered in our Season 1 overview, includes a Player Level reset and access to all 33 launch weapons.

Rifles Gain Range and Headshot Damage

The Axion has its first medium damage range stretched from 34.8 m to 38.61 m, and its muzzle velocity rises from 415 m/s to 470 m/s. The Kastov 762 gains a point of damage in its first medium tier (24 to 25), with its range there growing from 40.13 m to 42.16 m. Its head multiplier moves from 1.33 to 1.35.

Head multipliers rise from 1.25 to 1.3 on both the Han 86 and M4.

The M4 also gets a maximum damage range increase from 25.91 m to 27.94 m. Patriot XMR's maximum damage range grows from 31.24 m to 33.53 m, and its ADS move speed rises from 2.22 m/s to 2.26 m/s.

The Hyeon Burst is the trade-off, as its maximum damage falls from 30 to 23 and its minimum from 25 to 20, but the maximum damage range grows from 24.64 m to 30.99 m.

SMGs Get Small Damage Bumps

Most SMG changes add a point or two of damage. The PPSh-41 gains one point at each tier, taking its medium damage 1 from 15 to 16, medium damage 2 from 13 to 14 and minimum damage from 12 to 13.

The WZ.55 Striga receives the largest SMG headshot change, with its head multiplier going from 1.3 to 1.4. It also gains a point of maximum damage (26 to 27) and two of minimum damage (17 to 19).

The X-58 Nyx and ISO Nightshade each pick up one point of minimum damage. Nightshade's maximum damage range also extends from 10.54 m to 11.68 m.

VEL 46 gains a point of minimum damage (13 to 14) but gives up range. Its maximum damage range shrinks from 10.13 m to 9.65 m.

Snipers, Shotgun and Pistol Changes

The Oris 8.6 gets the biggest range jump on the list. Its maximum damage range climbs from 19.05 m to 22.61 m, and its minimum damage rises from 58 to 63.

The Mosin-Nagant's maximum damage range grows from 36.83 m to 40.13 m.

Rezi 12's third medium damage range lengthens from 8.76 m to 10.29 m, and its minimum damage rises from 14 to 16. Krait P68's lower torso multiplier goes from 1 to 1.1.

Type 73 gets a head multiplier increase from 1.25 to 1.3 and a longer maximum damage range, along with separate Apex attachment adjustments. The Apoc-338 is the exception.

It loses a point of minimum damage (33 to 32), and its head multiplier drops from 1.35 to 1.3.
