Modder adds 235 destructible Flock cameras to GTA 5 so you can 'do whatever the flock you want' to them

You've no doubt spent dozens of hours in GTA 5 doing millions of dollars of property damage with your fleet of speeding vehicles and arsenal of deadly weapons.
But what if you could do something good for the city of Los Santos while still satisfying your insatiable bloodlust and appetite for destruction? For example, blowing up and running down a couple hundred Flock cameras.
Thanks to the GTALPR mod (which stands for Grand Theft Automated License Plate Reader), you can! The mod adds 235 Flock cameras to GTA 5, and in the modder's words, you can "do whatever the flock you want" to 'em. Shoot 'em. Smash 'em. Take 'em out with cars and tanks and shotguns. And you can even make a tidy profit while fighting back against the surveillance state.
What's especially cool about GTALPR, created by modder Morry, is that these cameras aren't just static props, they actually work. They'll photograph you as you drive past them, and you can save and format these photos for social media or your own scrapbook. The cameras will also alert the cops to your location, sometimes even if you're not breaking any laws—just like real Flock cameras are prone to do, because they suck.
Destroying the Flock cameras drops a bundle of components you can sell for extra cash, a nice bonus at $600 a pop. And if you want to go on a rampage, "there is built-in speedrun functionality, with a stats screen tracking number of cameras destroyed, and fastest time to destroy 10, 50, or all cameras," Morry says. That's rad. The mod also lets you place your own in-game cameras to save snapshots of your exploits around the city.
"Anyway, Flock is a scourge on America," the modder states bluntly on TikTok. "It's a private eight billion dollar surveillance company that operates over 100,000 cameras across the country. If you think the 235 in this mod are bad, just understand that that is literally one tenth of the cameras currently installed in LA County, which Los Santos is based on."
The modder, however, warns at the end of the video that "destroying Flock cameras in real life is illegal and will not, as far as we know, give you a loot box with $600."
Works for me. Learn more about the mod here, and grab it for yourself on Github. And thanks to FRVR for spotting the mod.
