Mass Effect's New Trailer Leak Is the Best Sales Pitch EA Never Asked For

Just one day after EA closed BioWare and canceled the next Mass Effect game, a trailer for it, under the title Mass Effect Universe, turned up on the series' subreddit. Judging by what it showcased as in-engine footage, the game would have paired a new protagonist, an ex-Alliance soldier apparently working off the books, with Liara T'Soni in the Milky Way after the Reaper War. Since that leak, Bloomberg's Jason Schreier and others have backed the footage's validity, saying BioWare was developing Mass Effect Universe right up until the closure.
