Magic: The Gathering Officially Reveals Brand-New Original Set

In a strange twist, Wizards of the Coast reveals an original Universes Beyond set for Magic: The Gathering, coming in April 2027. When Wizards of the Coast first announced that Universes Beyond sets would come as Standard-legal releases instead of just Eternal products, not all fans were happy about the news. Some were concerned this would mean fewer original in-multiverse sets or a bloated card pool for Standard. Magic: The Gathering's UB sets often come with availability or scalping issues, too, as they also appeal to collectors and fans of their respective IP.
