King’s Minecraft Blast is back in soft launch

King’s Minecraft Blast has returned to soft launch. At the time of writing it is downloadable in Malaysia on Google Play only.

The game’s store page features new game assets and a new trailer, below. The game’s new store blurb states that the new edition of the Minecraft spin-off has six new blockers, four new chapters, daily play rewards, a new Raid Tournament, a weekly leaderboard contest and a customisable companion system.

The new trailer also suggests Minecraft Blast will have Candy Crush-style map progression and a building-based meta.

“Your next Minecraft Blast puzzle adventure starts now! More worlds to explore. More puzzles to blast. More ways to play,” reads the blurb.

As we reported previously, Minecraft Blast was quietly soft launched in Malaysia and Canada in November 2025, on iOS only. AppMagic data suggests the game was removed from testing a month later.

The new store entry shows notably updated graphics from that first edition of the game. The updated store blurb, translated from Malay, reads: “A delightful block-puzzle adventure from the world of Minecraft! Match and build in Minecraft Blast, a brand-new way to experience Minecraft on mobile.”

“It comes from King (makers of Candy Crush) and Mojang Studios (makers of Minecraft). Blast through fun, challenging matching puzzles to earn rewards and build the world around you in seconds. Creating something amazing has never been easier.”

The store description goes on to say players can “Design, decorate and expand” their Minecraft Blast world, customise a Buddy character, meet Chickens, Zombies and Creepers along the way and “Discover exciting locations such as bustling villages, mysterious caves and even pirate ships, all full of Minecraft’s special charm.”
