Jujutsu Kaisen Officially Bids Farewell To Sorcerers Forever

Gege Akutami's Jujutsu Kaisen began its official run under Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump on March 5, 2018, in the 14th Issue of the magazine. Right from the very beginning, the author made it quite clear that the story was focused on sorcerers. In the world of Jujutsu Kaisen, the primary power system stemmed from Cursed Energy. Those in Japan were known to hold especially high amounts of Cursed Energy due to negative emotions. When this Cursed Energy seeped out, it led to the creation of Cursed Spirits, responsible for various tragedies affecting Japanese society. To combat these cursed spirits, there existed powerful sorcerers, those who could control their Cursed Energy and make use of it through various Jujutsu arts. Cursed Energy and Jujutsu sorcery made for an incredibly exciting cast of characters who delivered to us some of the most memorable characters, such as Gojo Satoru, Yuji Itadori, and many others.
