Scopely: The Monopoly Go maker has appointed Maggy Katz as performance marketing manager. She joins from Huuuge Games, where she served as lead UA and RT manager, and was also previously ad monetisation manager at Playtika. Former Tilting Point VP of creative and Kabam head of creative services William Hughes has also joined the Monopoly Go maker, as VP of creative for its in-house studio, Flamed.

Metacore: Former Small Giant Games CEO Jose Saarniniemi, who led the company through its integration with Zynga, has been appointed as general manager of Merge Mansion.

Scopely’s Katz and Hughes, Metacore’s Saarniniemi, EA’s Scalzitti, Roblox’s Hirano.

Electronic Arts: Former 505 Games product manager and Jam City competitive intelligence manager Michael Scalzitti has joined EA as a senior lead product manager on its mobile team.

Roblox: Former App Store Japan head of games business management Yoji Hirano has left the iPhone maker to lead Roblox’s developer relations in Japan.

Apple: There are two new hires on the Arcade team: former ProbablyMonsters and Xbox Game Studios Publishing design director Tom French is joining Apple Arcade in an unspecified role that will include game design, development and working on creative vision with partners. Ex-Jam City VP and studio general manager Matthew Wylds has also joined the iPhone maker as a producer on the Apple Arcade team.

Zynga: Former Zynga ad operations manager Billy Samra has started a new position as ad monetisation manager and US operations team lead. He also previously served as a senior performance manager at Unity. Jack Welch has stepped up to the role of ad supply and revenue operations manager.

Apple’s French and Wylds, Zynga’s Samra and Welch, Outfit7’s Turner.

Outfit7: The Talking Tom & Friends maker has hired Sam Turner as senior business development manager. He joins from Aptoide, where he was director of business development.

Fateless Games: As it prepares for the launch of Godforge, the studio has hired Noam Sagie as chief marketing officer, a position he previously held at Goat Entertainment Studios, Candivore and Plarium.

Miniclip: The Tencent-owned developer and publisher has appointed two new junior product managers. Patricia Canane was previously a senior publishing QA tester at the company, while Atakan Erdoğmuş was formerly a product specialist intern.

Google: The Android firm has hired Connor Fitzgerald as senior sales principal for mobile apps. The former AppsFlyer and Liftoff Mobile account executive was most recently a senior account executive at Unity Grow.

Blizzard: Following a spell as a senior community partnerships manager at Dreamhaven, former Warcraft Rumble senior influencer manager Josh Nash has returned to Blizzard as a product marketing manager for Diablo Immortal.

Fateless’ Sagie, Miniclip’s Canane and Erdoğmuş, Google’s Fitzgerald, Blizzard’s Nash.

Peak: The Toy Blast and Toon Blast maker has hired Ege Topal as senior product specialist. He joins from Ace Games, where he has held the same role for the past year.

Unity: The engine maker has appointed former Brunswick Group partner Austin Rathe as VP and global comms lead. He also previously spent eight years working for the UK’s Liberal Democrats party, including three as head of digital entertainment.

King: Following a year as strategy and analytics VP, Rodrigo Vaz da Silva has started a new role as chief commercial officer at the Candy Crush maker. He was also previously analytics director at Dream Games.

Former Curve Analytics junior AI engineer Tweshaa Dewan has also joined King as a data scientist.

Motorsport Games: The racing game developer and publisher will appoint Peter Hansen-Chambers as chief financial officer, effective July 1. He’ll join following over a decade at Hutch Games, where he was most recently co-CEO and CFO.

Duolingo: The learning app has hired Tony Yang as a staff product manager on its music team. His previous roles include director of product management for both Fortnite and Mind Candy, game lead at Space Ape, and VP of product for Fall Guys.

Anzu: The in-game advertising platform has promoted Daria Sokoldan from the role of marketing and communications manager to marketing director.

Funday Games: The Danish indie studio behind Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor has hired game programmer Gabriel Jadderson, who will work on Northgard Battlegrounds, and game developer Oliver Riisager, who has joined an unannounced project. The pair previously worked as technical leads at the educational tech and publishing company Mrs Wordsmith.

TIGA: The UK trade body has appointed nine new members to its board of directors. They are Dovetail Games’ Gemma Brown, Stainless Games’ Ben Gunstone, D3t’s Dan Hett, Supermassive Games’ Greg Howson, Slitherine’s Marco Minoli, Code Wizards’ Stuart Muckley, Sumo Digital’s Tim Repa-Davies, Pretty Cool Games’ Sitara Shefta and Flix Interactive’s  John Tearle.
