Vietnamese authorities have arrested seven individuals allegedly linked to the former animepiracy website HiAnime, according to TorrentFreak. Vietnamese authorities were supported by U.S. Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), the Department of Justice, and the Alliance for Creativity and Entertainment (ACE) during the investigation. The now-defunct HiAnime, which went dark in March 2026 and was shut down in June, received more than 150 million visits every month, making it a notorious anime piracy platform in the world.
