Nodusfall, aesthetically at least, is about as far from a typical HoYoverse game as you can get. Gone are the bright colours, cute creatures, and bountiful anime women. In their place, we get all the familiar trappings of dark fantasy: mysterious magics, vicious monsters, and a dingier kind of realism that - and I'm sure we've all thought it - feels a little bit Elden Ring. But from what I played at Gamescom, Nodusfall has the potential to shake off those FromSoftware comparisons and come into its own.
