As far as I’m concerned, Halo: Campaign Evolved is already wiping the floor with 2011’s awfully polarising Combat Evolved: Anniversary.. While that version of the classic shooter played well and looked in line with top of the line graphics of the era, the ways in which it utterly tore apart the original art direction has remained a sore point for many. It fundamentally misunderstood the subtlety of its long-forgotten architecture and that not every environment needs to be stuffed with detail.
