For 13 years, GTA Online has maintained a wildly impressive player base when other live-service games have come and gone. Even Rockstar's other live-service offering, Red Dead Online, hasn't thrived as much as GTA Online. Red Dead Redemption 2's online counterpart still attracts players, but it isn't on the scale that GTA Online is. The game is simply a different beast.
