It might feel minnowish compared to modern open worlds, but Los Santos is still a schlep to get across. Whether you're on a bike, in a car, or hoofing it on-foot, it takes a while to get from the city itself out to the northernmost boonies. Well, no more.
Flights V is a mod that turns GTA 5's airports into, ah, airports. That is to say, you can now rock up to a desk in the terminal, pick up a ticket, and jet off (as a passenger) to one of a select few other points on the map: LSIA, Sandy Shore Airfield, McKenzie Airfield, or Paleto Bay International Airport.
I'm not entirely sure that the real-world LAX airport maintains routes to podunk personal hangars out in the middle of the desert, but America is a strange and bewildering place.
It is a replication of the true airport experience par excellence. You know how in airports you can choose what kind of plane you want to travel on, and how the space between the jet bridge and the plane itself is protected by a vast bank-vault door? We've got that. You know how the departures lounge is filled with dead-eyed half-people staring listlessly into the void? That's here too.
Okay, that one actually is accurate, I guess.
My only issue is that actually trying to board a plane can sometimes result in an infinite loading screen. This is inexplicable. It is assuredly not related to previous mods that have deleted a vast swathe of the exterior world map, nor my attempts to carry NPCs on my back into the plane. It's just plane travel, you know? They always find ways to make it a little bit worse.
