Green Lantern Hal Jordan arrived in the DC Universe with Showcase #22 in October of 1959, and it changed DC forever. Green Lanterns were the only Lantern Corps for quite a while, as Sinestro and Star Sapphire were solo operators without their own Corps at the time.
