G2 Esports has ended its collaboration with head coach Luka "Perkz" Perković and will not announce any staff or roster changes until free agency officially opens, Sheep Esports reported.

Perkz has since deleted his X account, Dexerto reported.

The decision came on Thursday, November 5, a few hours after Perkz, a former midlaner and team captain, published a long statement on X. It covered his career, his appointment as G2's head coach and the team's disappointing 2026 Worlds run.

The League of Legends team now heads into the offseason without a coach.

The statement that preceded the exit

Dexerto put the statement at 2,676 words, posted on November 4. Perkz described it as his first and last honest post, according to the outlet.

In it, he addressed his past with Carlos "ocelote" Rodríguez Santiago, his dealings with Andrew and Tristan Tate, and his Catholic faith.

Dexerto reported that he denied supporting the Tate brothers, defended his earlier loyalty to Rodríguez and said he was not a supporter of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Sheep Esports said the line that drew the sharpest reaction had nothing to do with esports. Perkz wrote that abortion was the one view he would never change, and described it as murder.

G2's response

G2 CEO Alban Dechelotte issued the club's statement. G2 described itself as a diverse and international organization, and said that some of the statements did not match its values.

It apologised to fans in the same post.

G2 said in the statement, carried by Sheep Esports, that it acknowledges the statement hurt many of its fans and wants to apologize for it.

Sheep Esports said fans had called for the split before G2 spoke.

Perkz was already under scrutiny over sporting decisions after the outlet reported on Wednesday that Rudy "SkewMond" Semaan would be replaced by Linas "Lyncas" Nauncikas.

G2 has not confirmed that move, and it said it will not communicate any changes until free agency opens.

Account removed, Instagram still up

Dexerto reported that Perkz deleted his X account after the dismissal.

His Instagram account remains accessible, and he has issued no further public statement on leaving G2 or on removing the X profile.

G2 said it will now focus on rebuilding its staff and roster for the next season, and asked fans for patience.
