Former Netflix-exclusive game Poinpy has returned to app stores as a completely free download.

Originally revealed by Geoff Keighley during Netflix’s Geeked Week in 2022, the cult made-for-mobile game was developed by Downwell creator Ojiro Fumoto and received a largely positive critical reception, though it did not perform all that well in terms of lifetime Netflix games downloads.

As we reported previously, Poinpy and fellow original indie games Lucky Luna and Oxenfree II ranked in the bottom three Netflix games by lifetime downloads as of March 2025.

It was later removed from the Netflix games catalogue but has now returned under the Devolver label, without any in-app purchases or ads. Players can, however, ‘tip’ creator Ojiro Fumoto if they want to with in-app purchases that range from $1.99-9.99.
