Anime series like The Rising of the Shield Hero and That Time I Got Reincarnated As a Slime are consistently growing in popularity, and new Isekai series like Lord of Mysteries have already enjoyed massive success. That said, in the modern era, specifically in 2026, the King of Isekai anime might have already been decided. Out of all the Isekai series that have aired this year so far, there has been a clear standout hit, and that's Re:Zero.
