As exciting as that is, it's clear that Bethesda has some lessons to learn from 2025's most surprising release, as it's got quite the long shadow; it sold enormously, played beautifully, and it's a game that—going by the numbers—almost nobody actually finished. Indeed, according to Steam, only around eight percent of players have earned the achievement for completing the main questline of Oblivion Remastered, and that's a problem the remasters of Fallout 3 and New Vegas must fix.
