Despite supposedly ending terribly last December, Netflix officially confirmed that Stranger Things will return in late 2026, with Tales From '85 receiving new episodes. Furthermore, the play, Stranger Things: The First Shadow, should premiere on the streaming service in 2027 after its final performances occur in December and January. Netflix probably won't release an additional episode to the main series, but it certainly seems to have no intention of retiring the franchise anytime soon.
