While Playdead’s Inside initially garnered attention for being a spiritual successor to Limbo, the game forged its own identity by offering more complex puzzles, visuals, and storytelling. Said storytelling eventually saw the boy players controlled merging with a giant, rolling mass of bodies called the Huddle, which had been created by scientists within a massive facility. Once inside the Huddle, players crush their captors and roll out of the facility, descending down a hill and into the light before coming to a stop as the credits roll.
