Larian gets briefly kicked off YouTube, TikTok for demonic smut reasons in Baldur's Gate 3

Baldur's Gate 3 is known for being, well, smutty—so much so that when the game first came out, we were in fierce, rigorous, masterful debates over it (stop giggling). The game has a lot of sensual scenes, but it also comes with a streamer-friendly mode to cover up all the jiblets and tatas.

A streamer-friendly mode that failed, briefly, on one of Larian's own streams. Senior communications director Aofie Wilson has been streaming a Dark Urge run on various platforms, and has arrived at Act 3's House of Hope (spoilers for that, if you still haven't managed to finish a playthrough).

In this late-game dungeon, you can meet with Harleep, an incubi that Raphael keeps around—mostly to top himself in BDSM gear, a feat of self-love so vicious it'd make Narcissus blush and say 'bit much for me, mate'.

Anyway, that streamer-friendly mode failed during Wilson's playthrough when, for some strange reason, Harleep's nipnaps went completely uncensored as her character took to the sheets with Raphael's psychoanalysable, personified fetish.

The stream's still up on X, and you can see the clothes malfunction happen at around 1:26:00—as Larian's doubtless panicking staff try desperately to cover her up with a golden d20. Which, that being the reward for an honour mode playthrough, does seem a little denigrating of the badge of honour. My bard earned that title fair and square, and now 'tis being relegated to a censor bar. The degeneracy!

Both Larian and publishing director Michael Douse had a good laugh about it on X, with the latter writing: "Baldur's Gate 3 is now cancelled", and the former tweeting an image striking through both YouTube and TikTok as platforms on which you could find Wilson (dubbed "undiluted and raw" by her own stream overlay as the debauchery played out) continuing on, unabashed.

Anyway, Larian's not been given the boot permanently—both channels are back up, it's just this stream in particular that was shut down. And to quote Wilson's own words: "At least we had a nice time."
