Japan Has Lined Up A New Successor To Solo Leveling

The oversaturation of the Isekai genre is a well-known fact at this point. Almost every anime season introduces several new Isekai series, many of which follow the same formula. The main character is transported or reincarnated into another world, quickly becomes overpowered, and sets out on a familiar adventure. While there are still many excellent Isekai, the growing number of similar stories has made the genre feel repetitive to many fans. Even major publishers like Kadokawa have reflected on this trend, warning that Isekai oversaturation alongside a decline in quality could eventually become a risk for the anime industry as a whole.
