Arc Raiders' latest update has given us the Forgotten Relics event and the Converging Paths project, both of which intertwine slightly. It's not super complicated, but they're intended to be a snack to tide us over until the big Frozen Trail update in October.

Below, I'll explain how to earn Merits to complete the Forgotten Relics event, as well as the rewards you'll get for being such a diligent treasure hunter.

Like Converging Paths, this is a limited-time affair (June 16 through to July 27), so get in while you can.

To progress the Forgotten Relics event, you need to earn Merits, which is done by:

  • Earning XP during a match—Looting, killing bots and players, and time spent increase how much you'll earn.
  • Looting and extracting new trinket items.

There are nine new trinkets you can find, which give an increasing number of Merits based on their rarity. You can also donate these relics to the Converging Paths projects once you've returned to Speranza with them, so it's two birds with one stone.

The best place to find these new trinkets is in Residential or Commercial areas, on shelves, or inside cupboards, drawers, and the like. I recommend searching Grandioso Apartments, Santa Maria Houses, and the Plazas in Buried City, and inside the chimneys during the Bird City event. Here's what each is worth Merit-wise:

  • Train Model (common - 10 Merits)
  • Sextant (uncommon - 15 Merits)
  • Vintage Steering Wheel (uncommon - 15 Merits)
  • Equatorial Sundial (rare - 25 Merits)
  • Colorful Shoes (rare - 25 Merits)
  • Tellurion (epic - 50 Merits)
  • Colorful Shoes (epic - 50 Merits)
  • Colorful Shoes (legendary - 150 Merits)
  • Elephant Obelisk (legendary - 150 Merits)

Since XP is the main source of progression in the Forgotten Relics event though, you'll want to maximise your earnings. Map events like Night Raids are a great opportunity to rack up high scores, and you can do this while looting for valuable trinkets, too.

Merits are automatically converted and redeemed in the events page, so head there to track your progress.
