Level matters more than anything in DragonSword: Awakening. Being under-leveled, especially when facing a boss, will mostly put you at a massive disadvantage, which is why it's vital that you learn how the level-up system works. After every 10 Levels, you'll need to exchange unique materials to unlock the next 10 Levels (the Breakthrough). From Level 30 onwards, Cerese and Ornette will need the Drop of Purity, which can be found here.
