Whether or not the form is canon to Dragon Ball Super remains to be seen, but SSJ4 finally has an official design from Toriyama himself. Interestingly, there's been a lot of debate over when and how Goku unlocked Super Saiyan 4. Dragon Ball DAIMA doesn’t make it explicitly clear whether Goku had already triggered SSJ4 prior to the final battle, or if Neva helped him use it for the first time.
