Tim Curry has died at the age of 80, leaving behind a rich legacy in movies, television, and videogames. As well as playing Gabriel Knight, Premier Anatoly Cherdenko in Red Alert 3, and Arl Howe in Dragon Age: Origins, Curry voiced the villainous Doviculus in Double Fine's heavy metal epic Brütal Legend. To pay tribute to his passing, Brütal Legend is currently available for free on itch for a very metal 666 minutes. You can download it now, or claim it to download later.

Doviculus, Emperor of the Tainted Coil, is the extremely Cenobite-coded bad guy of Brütal Legend, who was originally going to be voiced by heavy metal singer Ronnie James Dio. "Tim Curry just has the perfect voice," Double Fine's Tim Schafer told USA Today of the casting decision. "When we told him this guy was not just big and tough, but also has this kinky side who, when hit with an ax, might scream in pain or squeal with delight, Tim laughed and said, 'Perfect for me.'"

This isn't the first time Double Fine has given their game away for free. Last time it was in honor of Ozzy Osbourne, who has a cameo as the Guardian of Metal shopkeeper in Brütal Legend, and likewise it was made available for 666 minutes. At the time of writing, that means you have a little over nine hours to claim it.
